If your property features an existing, 16" fire opening that was possibly once used for a real open fire, the Flavel Waverley inset tapered gas tray will provide a solution to bring it to life! A tapered gas tray is basically the 'engine' of a standard gas fire. It tapers at the back so it will fit into opening with an existing chair-brick and is supplied with loose coals.
It can also be used as a cost effective way to replace the 'engine' section of an existing gas fire or in conjunction with cast-iron inserts which have their own cast iron backs subject to dimensions. Manual controls located at the base of the tray.
The direct heat output of the Flavel Waverley is 2.7kW and is not suitable for primary heating purposes.
